Keeping it raw, naturalistic, and documentary style up in Whitefish MT for Jeremiah Johnson Brewing.

We found a rhythm following the big boss around, catching glimpses of fast-paced moments around the brewery/restaurant collaboration. Short frames of pizza cheese stretching out, beer pitchers overflowing, cheers and excitement, laughter, walking fast through the production facility, cut to sliding a beer glass across the bar top.

In the midst of all the calculated chaos, a patron of the restaurant stopped me and asked if that was a 12k camera and if it could do 120fps! They were serious.

In a world where the number of pixels and slow motion are king, we are looking at bigger pixels and compelling motion at 23.98fps! I have a guttural reaction to quick real time motion clips strung together, that constant 120fps just doesn’t do for me. My wife has even started to notice a disconnect when she watches something with mostly slow motion clips.

Making movies is the aim for us. Everything we do in the commercial “content creation” space is motivated by a love for movies. 🍿 Let’s all commit to making art our focus as apposed to “creating content.”
